Criminal Record Check
Any coach, manager, assistant, or safety person who has contact with the players on a regular basis, requires an up to date criminal record check to be on file with our PDMHA.
The ability to complete a Criminal Record Check has now been moved to an on-line service, with an applicants identity being verified using their BC Services Card. If the applicant is using the BC Services Card to access the online service for first time, they will be directed to activate their card by video or in person through Service BC.

Coaches
Hockey University Online Courses are required for Head Coach and Assistant Coaches. Please note that there is an in person portion that will take place in the fall. You will be prompted to register for the in person training once the online portion is complete.
In addition to the required coaching course for the level they are involved, all coaches must complete a Criminal Record Check, Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders and the Concussion Awareness Training for Coaches. If you are unsure what is required, please contact your division director or the registrar.
On Ice Helpers
All on ice helpers must complete a Criminal Record Check, Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders and the Concussion Awareness Training for Coaches.
Team Managers
All team managers must complete a Criminal Record Check, Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders and the Concussion Awareness Training for Coaches.
Team Safety Person
All team safety people must complete a Criminal Record Check, the Hockey Canada Safety Program online course, Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders and the Concussion Awareness Training for Coaches.
